Apex Community Park in Apex, NC
Apex Community Park, located in the charming town of Apex, is a 160-acre park offering a variety of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. With its 50+ acre Apex Lake and over three miles of developed nature and fitness trails, the park is an ideal destination for families looking for outdoor adventure in the Triangle. The trails include two miles of paved greenways and a one-mile natural walking path.
The park features a wide range of athletic facilities, including a multi-purpose field, three sand volleyball courts, six tennis courts, three lighted pickleball courts, and two basketball courts. Visitors can also take advantage of three ball fields and two batting cages reserved for league play. Families with children will enjoy the playgrounds and swings, designed for kids aged 2 to 12.
A unique attraction is the Elevate Fitness Obstacle Course, which was inspired by American Ninja Warrior. This unique course, developed in partnership with BCI Burke Playground Equipment and Barrs Recreation, includes challenging elements such as the Spider Wall, Jungle Pipeline, and Frog Hop. While designed with teens in mind, the course is accessible to all ages and abilities, making it a fun way to stay active.
There is also an exciting development underway for hockey fans! There is a new project that just started under construction to convert an existing multi-purpose field into two state-of-the-art street hockey rinks. This project, a collaboration with the Carolina Hurricanes, is expected to be completed by spring 2025. Be sure to keep an eye out for when this is ready!
Whether you’re seeking athletic activities, a peaceful stroll in nature, or family-friendly fun, Apex Community Park offers something for everyone!
