Burney’s Sweets & More opened its Clayton location in 2024, bringing more of its unique, high-quality pastries to the Triangle area! Originally founded in Elizabethtown, NC, Burney’s has grown to include locations across North Carolina, including Raleigh and Smithfield. Each location carries forward the brand’s commitment to offering a relaxed, community-focused bakery shop where customers can slow down and enjoy their unique, fresh crescents and other yummy baked goods!
One of the most well-known items at Burney’s is the fried, stuffed crescent. These pastries are crisp and golden on the outside, with a soft interior filled with a variety of flavors. Popular options include chocolate fudge, banana pudding, peach, strawberry cream cheese, Bavarian cream, Oreo, key lime, and coconut cream. The dough has a lightly fried texture, creating a unique combination of richness and flakiness that sets it apart from a traditional croissant.
In addition to their signature crescents, Burney’s offers a wide range of baked goods, including donuts with artisanal fillings, cheesecake, cake pops, brownies, cookies, macaroons, pies, cannolis, and even gelato!
