Grasshopper Farms U-Pick Strawberries- Knightdale, NC
Strawberry season is in full swing in the Raleigh area, and there’s no better place to enjoy it than Grasshopper Farms in Knightdale, NC! This family-friendly farm offers a fun and delicious way to spend the day outdoors, with U-pick strawberries available now through around June. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday, giving you plenty of opportunities to come and fill one of their buckets with delicious, fresh strawberries for $20. Right next to the strawberry field is a scenic pond with benches, making it a great spot for kids to spot turtles and other pond critters while enjoying the strawberry fields.
Grasshopper Farms is a great option for strawberry picking for families because they offer other activities as well. In addition to the U-Pick strawberry fields, the farm features an awesome playground fun park! Kids can play on the giant playground, swings, small merry-go-round, hay maze, and sandbox. There are also friendly goats nearby to say hello to! They also have a gem mining station for kids. Please note, the fun park and gem mining require separate tickets for kids.
After strawberry picking, families can cool off with a scoop of award-winning local ice cream—there are dozens of flavors to choose from at their Country Store and garden shop. You can also stock up on seasonal flowers, local honey, fresh farm eggs, cheeses, and jams while you’re there.
