With over 27,000 taxa of plants, Juniper Level Botanic Garden is the perfect place to visit for both adults and kids.

Spread across eight acres of meticulously curated public display gardens, visitors can explore the grounds for hours. A tranquil pond, babbling creeks, 30 greenhouses, and a majestic waterfall are just some of the beautiful parts of the gardens. One of the highlights of Juniper Level Botanic Garden is the opportunity to stand behind the waterfall for the perfect picture or awesome view. This is a big hit for kids!

Juniper Level Botanic Garden opens its gates to the public for “Open Garden” days only eight weekends a year. During “Open Garden” weekends they have horticultural staff available to assist with finding plants, answer questions, direct around the garden and they have free educational garden programs. Their next open garden days are this summer on July 12-14 and July 19-21 (and then again in the fall) and no appointment is necessary. But visitors can still visit the gardens during regular business hours by making an appointment. Whether you're a seasoned plant enthusiast or a curious explorer, this beautiful garden is a wonderful experience for a unique outdoor adventure in the Triangle!

It is also about a 10 minute drive from the White Deer Nature Park in Garner, which is a wonderful place to visit with kids! It includes an indoor nature center, two outdoor playgrounds and walking trails.
