La Carreta

It’s our first Christmas in Raleigh, and we are loving the festive cheer! From dazzling neighborhoods to local art markets and nutcracker-themed bars, it seems the holiday spirit is everywhere. It’s possible, though, that when it comes to Mexican restaurants this holiday season, no one shines brighter than La Carreta in Raleigh.

Whether you’ve been before or not, let us reiterate that this cozy cantina brings an extra special charm this time of year. The festivities start on the outdoor patio, where though it may be too cold to sit and mingle for long, inflatable gingerbread houses and rainbow lights beckon. Once inside, you can’t miss the attention to Christmas detail that adorns every nook and cranny of the dining room and bar.  From jumbo wrapped presents strung from the ceiling, to life-sized grinch statues and neon lights beaming lyrics from the classics, La Carreta turns it up to ten.

The menu is a knockout too! After all, there’s something about a steaming hot burrito filled with pork, queso, rice and fresh veggies that simply goes well with a Margarita or other fruity concoction. The bartenders have curated a delightful Christmas cocktail menu including the Sugar Cookie Martini, Little Grinch and Nutcracker margaritas. Each beverage is served with its own dose of personality, from glowing green ice cubes to pink sugared rims.

Come warm up and step into a winter wonderland as you enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine at La Carreta, located at 1028 Oberlin Rd. Unit 220. Or, plan a holiday get-together there with friends, or a quiet moment as a family as you navigate the business of the season! La Carreta is ready to welcome its guests with quality ingredients, warm smiles and all the festive fun.
