Little Doodles is a charming “play cafe” in downtown Wendell, NC that offers open play, events, classes and birthday parties. There are also two other locations in Raleigh and Wakefield. This unique play space has become a popular outing for families looking for a coffee shop that offers relaxation for the adults and an enclosed, safe play space for the children. Parents and caregivers can unwind with a cup of coffee, while their little ones play in the enclosed toy area within an arm’s reach.

The highlight of Little Doodles is its thoughtfully designed themed play areas, tailored for toddlers. From imaginative play toys to small climbing structures, every element is crafted to spark creativity and fun. Themes include pirate ship, baby dolls, ice cream shop, trains, dress up, construction and much more. There is also an art room where kids can paint, draw, and craft. Kids ages 3+ can explore STEM toys in the Raleigh location’s Discovery Room. They also offer story times, which are listed on their website.

Little Doodles offers a selection of kid-friendly snacks like muffins or goldfish. For adults, the cafe serves a variety of coffee drink options and some breakfast/lunch food like pizza. There are tables next to the play area so adults can sit and watch their kids play. And there is also free wifi!

Downtown Wendell is also home to the popular Lake Myra Christmas Lights Show, which happens every year just a few minutes down the street from Little Doodles.
