Marbles Playway- Raleigh

In a few days Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh will be introducing their brand new “Marbles Playway”! This is a vibrant, new, outdoor space at Marbles Museum where kids and families can enjoy a nature-inspired playground. There are giant gates that lead to the play area outside the entrance of the museum and next to the museum’s cafe/IMax theater.  

Playway features colorful shade structures, family-friendly picnic tables, and Pollinator Pals—giant climbable play structures that look like bees and insects. It also includes a spacious greenspace filled with native plants. The ground is artificial turf making this an ideal playground for little ones to crawl around. This would also be a wonderful spot to have a picnic!

Unlike the inside of Marbles Museum, Playway is open to everyone, with no admission required, making it an accessible spot for families to enjoy. The official grand opening of Playway takes place on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 9 am to 5 pm each day. Visitors can enjoy special activities throughout the event like crafting pollinators and local food vendors, adding to the celebration of this new community space. Playway is a great addition to both Marbles Museum and downtown Raleigh!
