NERD Escape Room- Raleigh

NERD Escape Room, located on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh, is the perfect outing for anyone looking for an exciting and immersive experience and competition! This is hands down one of the best escape rooms in the Triangle area! NERD is the perfect activity for date nights, family outings, team-building events, or a girls’ night out. NERD has seven uniquely themed escape rooms to choose from. Most of the rooms feature completely original stories that have been built in house with one-of-a-kind, creative puzzles. Whether you’re solving “The Return,” breaking out of “Prison Break,” facing the Wild West in “The Showdown,” navigating the mysteries of “City with No Sun,” uncovering secrets in “Chernobyl,” battling “Dracula,”or exploring “The Gallery,” every room provides a creative mystery to solve.

Each team has one hour to solve the puzzles and escape. Every little detail in the room contributes to the challenge, making teamwork and critical thinking key to success. There is also a NERD staff member behind a speaker in the room to help in case clues are needed.

NERD is unique in that each room is a renovated room from an old house, making it feel even more realistic when inside the escape rooms, and some challenges even have multiple rooms within them! Plus, when you book a room, it’s yours exclusively, ensuring a private and personalized experience. If there is a large party, you can book multiple rooms to race against each other to see who can finish first!

NERD Escape Room spans three houses where the rooms have been converted into Escape Rooms, The Yellow Buildings feature rooms priced at $30 per person, while the Red Building has rooms at $35 per person. Children under eight can join in the fun for free, but it’s best to call ahead and confirm which rooms are best suitable for younger participants.

Conveniently located in the heart of Glenwood Avenue, NERD Escape Room pairs perfectly with a meal at one of the nearby restaurants within walking distance. Another huge plus is that there is free parking included at NERD for up to two hours! So after escaping a room you can head to Sushi Blues, just a three-minute walk away, for BOGO sushi every day! Or visit the Raleigh Beer Garden further up Glenwood Avenue to enjoy their extensive beer selection and delicious menu throughout their 3 story,  tree house themed building.
