Porter Farms - Willow Spring and Raleigh 

Porter Farms is a family-owned farm in Wake County, offering locally grown fruits and vegetables with two convenient locations in Willow Spring (near Garner) and Raleigh. Established in 1997, they started by selling fresh produce at the Raleigh State Farmers Market. By 2005, Porter Farms became Wake County’s first Certified Roadside Farm Market. Their produce is grown on-site and picked fresh every morning.

Porter Farms invites visitors to experience seasonal activities like strawberry picking in the spring, pumpkin picking in the fall, and enjoying homemade ice cream throughout the summer, spring AND fall. Their popular ice cream, made with their fresh fruit and local dairy, comes in a variety of unique and seasonal flavors such as caramel apple crunch, ginger snap, pumpkin, and peach caramel praline. Families can also enjoy fun attractions, including a giant sandbox with diggers and a large wooden play train at their Willow Spring location.

This time of year, Porter Farms offers the largest selection of pumpkins and ornamental gourds in Raleigh. They are well-known for their award-winning pumpkins, having earned several honors, including 1st Place for the Largest Pumpkin at the NC State Farmers Market Great Pumpkin Contest. Porter Farms is open from April through October, offering fresh produce, fun activities, and delicious treats for the whole family!
