Waves Shave Ice in Holly Springs is a tropical-inspired treat shop serving artisan, island-style shaved ice with a delicious twist—New Zealand real fruit ice cream mixed right in! Their shaved ice is crafted with signature syrups made from real fruit and sugar, with refreshing flavors like mango-pineapple, strawberry, passion fruit, and lime-dragon fruit. You can add a creamy scoop of ice cream to the middle, with flavors such as coconut, vanilla, chocolate, banana, strawberry sorbet, or lemon sorbet. To top it all off, they offer a variety of fun and fresh toppings, including fresh fruit, sprinkles, and gummy bears. In addition to their shave ice creations, Waves also serves açaí bowls, making it a great spot for a refreshing snack on hot days!
They’re based at two locations around the Triangle: one at The Family Farm on Avent Ferry in Holly Springs and another at Phillips Farm in Cary. Their Holly Springs location is great for a relaxed, hangout spot on a seasonal farm. In spring and summer, you’ll find their iconic shave ice stand. In fall, the farm features pumpkins, and during the holidays they offer Christmas trees.
The Holly Springs farm setting adds to the relaxing experience with scenic lake views and Adirondack chairs. Animals like chickens, cows, and horses may even come to the fence! They also have family-friendly activities like a giant Connect Four board, an oversized Tetris game, and a cozy fire pit. During summer months, they’re open Monday through Saturday from 1 to 9 pm, with a happy hour BOGO deal from 1 to 3 pm.
Waves Shave Ice also has a traveling food truck, so you might catch them at events and pop-ups throughout the Triangle.
